Dorothy Lee Early (Dottie) 69 of Lakeland Florida passed away on November 2, 2022.

A cremation will take place in lieu of a funeral service or viewing. There will be a celebration of Dottie’s life for family and close friends.

Dottie was born in Hialeah, Florida on December 22, 1952. She graduated from Hialeah High School Class of 1970 and studied at Polk Community College from 1970 to 1972.

Dottie was married to Horace Lincoln Jacobs on July 21, 2021; they were married for one year but dated for several years prior to marriage.

Dottie worked in customer service for Traditions Unlimited, Time Magazine and White Swan Food Service in Lakeland Florida. She also worked for many years at Piper Aircraft Corporation in Lakeland Florida. She retired from the workforce in 2015 at the age of 62. She loved the beach, jewelry, spending time with her family, arts and crafts and was accomplished in stained glass, wreath making, and quilting. She sewed/gifted numerous quilts to family and friends. She loved animals and owned cats, dogs, and birds for most of her life. Her love of plants/nature allowed for beautiful gardens in every home she owned.

Dottie is survived by her spouse Horace Lincoln Jacobs, her siblings Cheryl Griffith, George Griffith, Edward Griffith, James Seufert, Sean Seufert, her children Andy Harrison and Daniel Booth, her grandchildren, Connor Harrison, Nathan Harrison, Trinity Sheffield, Imoni Sheffield, Avery Twillie, Camille (Bella) Booth, her nieces Rachel Griffith Laynez, Lauren Griffith, Layne Griffith, her nephew Ryan Homan, numerous cousins and other family and friends.

Dottie is preceded in death by her Mother Edythe Seufert, her father Lloyd Griffith, her Aunt Linda Taylor and her grandparents on both her mother’s and father’s side.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to your local animal shelters.
