Gary A Swepson

December 08, 1955 - December 07, 2022

Gary was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 8, 1955.  He was a Welcomed gift to Augustus and Cleo A. Swepson (both of who preceded him in death).  Gary attended Bolton and Paul Revere Elementary Schools.  Finally, he attended John Adams High School from 1970 to 1973.

Gary had a love for music from an early age.  As soon as his parents gave him music lessons on one instrument, he quickly showed how gifted and talented he was by moving on to another instrument.  Gary played the 4-string bass guitar, then taught himself how to play the 6-string bass, and then the electric lead guitar, then keyboards, then the 5 strong bass, and finally he bought an acoustic guitar to help with his songwriting.

Gary loved to listen to and write music.  He had a number of compilations to his credit.  He composed songs with band mates, friends, and on his own.  If you brought him lyrics, he could compose the tune around it,  Gary also loved singing and dancing.  He was in a number of bands and because he loved travelling, he would go anywhere to play his music at any time.

Gary went back to school and worked hard; receiving his Associates   Degree in Computer Sciences from Cuyahoga Community College.  Even with Gary’s blindness, he was able to build several computers.  Having the heart that he did for people, he gave the computers away to those who couldn’t afford to buy one for themselves; asking only that they not tell anyone that it came from him.

Gary was loved by everyone he came in contact with, and those he surrounded himself with became his family.  He is survived by a host of relatives and friends.
