Eddie was born in Lodi, CA on 6/29/1955 to Alfred Hernandez(Pops) and Lucy Olvera Hernandez. He attended Tokay High. Eddie worked at Denny's as a Restaurant Manager for over 30 years.
Eddie enjoyed sports, especially football. He played football in high school and tried out for the NFL as a kicker. He loved to play poker and never missed an NHRA event. His favorite band was Tower of Power who he became friends with and attended over 60 shows. He received an award from the City of Los Angeles for all his help at the Eagle Rock Concerts in the Park.
