John Scott Polce

January 07, 1959 - June 06, 2023

John Scott Polce went home to the kingdom of God on June 6, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his father Lawrence J. Polce, mother Marylyn Polce (Bott), uncle Ronald Bott, wife Deborah Polce (Beals), brother in-law Bob Moschgat, close family friends Delores Fehr and Jose Romero and loving cats (Smokey, Blair, Amber, Bandit, Jordan, Josie, Lilly, Madison, Chan & Cagney).

He is survived by his stepson Zach Beals (Pomona, CA), sister in-law Sherry Moschgat (Johnstown, PA), aunt Ruth(California), cousin Ron & wife Karen(California), cousin Christian & wife Amanda(Arkansas), cousin Susan (Pennsylvania), aunt Theo & uncle Guy "cookie" (Pennsylvania) lots of extended family members and his loving cats (Bella, Blankka, Spencer, Sammy, Katie, Jackie & Snowy).

     He was a graduate of Freedom Area High school (class of 1977) and the Community College of Beaver County where he graduated with an Associate Applied Science Degree in Nuclear Quality Assurance.  He worked at Los Angeles County Metro as a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance for the last 7 years and worked over 35 years as a quality engineer in numerous industries. 

     John was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Boston Celtics and Notre Dame. He also loved to cook especially for special occasions, watch movies, listen to 70s and 80s music, travel, talk to friends near and far, play Astrosmash, Tron Deadly Discs and Burgertime on the Intellivision game console, and go on vacations to Laughlin and Las Vegas. John was a proud and influential member of Wake Up Worldwide, AA and the recovery community as well as the American Welding Society. He was a very thoughtful and incredible man who cared for everyone including the many near and far he helped over the years through AA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at his home in Pomona, CA
