Noel Bunales Souza, age 76, transitioned to eternity on July 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nestor and Elvira Souza and the mother of his children, Victoria Dador-Souza. Noel is survived by his son David (Lora Souza),  grandchildren Clara and Francesca Souza, and daughter Cheri (Nathan Drake) and grandchildren Camden, Charli and Cecily Drake, in additional to his brother Rene (Sara Souza) and sister Ernani (Chito Atangan) as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

 

Noel was born in Quezon City, Philippines and lived in the Project Six area until his immigration to the United States. Noel graduated from Far Eastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. However, he was more well versed in engineering and made a career of it. His had held various engineering roles throughout different hospitals and facilities in the Chicagoland and San Jose area where he lived. At one point Noel held the position of Chief Engineer of Facilities among other roles related to facilities management as he was a licensed Stationary Engineer in both Illinois and California.

 

When not working, Noel spend much of his time doing projects for others as he was adept at construction and repair activities, brilliant at trouble shooting issues. His favorite past time involved working on his cars, fixing autos and dancing at celebrations he attended. Noel was also known for his charming personality. He was a kind man of great generosity. He was passionate and gentle and quite liked by all he met.
