Joseph Arnold Garcia

March 13, 1947 - July 14, 2024

Joseph Arnold Garcia, age 77, of Victorville, CA passed away peacefully at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA on July 14, 2024 surrounded by his most cherished loved ones. He was born in the small rural town of Colonia Polvora on the outskirts of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico on March 13, 1947 before moving to Los Angeles, CA in his teenage years and proudly gaining his American citizenship in the early 1990s.

Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle who enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music. He was a brilliant man who could fix just about anything that needed fixing. He was a wonderful provider for his family and retired after working 24 years as a Bus Operator for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Joseph was a compassionate, caring individual who always put his family first and was respected and admired by everyone around him.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Manuela Garcia (née Rodriguez) and Margarito Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife Cecilia Garcia (née Quijada) of Victorville, sons Jose (Joey) Garcia Jr. and Juan Antonio Garcia of Los Angeles, stepson Ruben DeLoa, granddaughters Ruby DeLoa, Maricruz DeLoa, April DeLoa, and Victoria DeLoa of Victorville. Joseph wished to be cremated and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Please continue to remember his legacy and keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
