Stephen John Woods (58) of Woodbridge, California, passed away on October 8, 2025, at home. He was born on September 25, 1967, in Lodi, California to parents Steve Fedena and Susan Otaguro (née Hema). He was later adopted by Suzie’s second husband, Bob Woods. He also lived in Hawaii, Washington, and Utah.
He attended schools in the Lodi area and earned his GED. Stephen enjoyed learning a wide variety of subjects throughout his life and was recently pursuing higher education through BYU Pathways and San Joaquin Delta College.
He was a hard worker and worked consistently throughout his life. Stephen worked for various companies including Boeing, Amway, and Walmart, among several others.
Stephen was an avid sports fan who especially loved football and basketball. He could often be heard cheering—or yelling—at the TV over a great play or bad call.
Stephen valued relationships and meeting new people. He was a good friend and made an effort to greet strangers and learn their names. He loved performing simple acts of service as often as he could. He also participated annually in the Love Lodi community cleanup events.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his later years, he was on a journey of faith, studying and visiting other denominations and religions, making many new friends along the way.
Known to most as Steve, he was affectionately called Stenny by extended family—a nickname given to him by his grandmother, Sarah Medeiros, when he was a baby.
Stephen is survived by his sons André (Eva) Wesman and Thomas Woods; parents Suzie (Jon) Otaguro, Bob (Barbara) Woods, and Steve (Robin) Fedena; siblings Tammy Woods, Chris (Megan) Woods, Nate Woods, Adam (Michelle) Woods, Rebecka Woods, Spencer Woods, Jared Fedena, Stephen Fedena Jr., Michael (Charon) Lane, Tara (Sam) Denison, Karen Lane, Sarah (Brian) Kirst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
