Joseph John "JJ" Hall passed away on January 5, 2022 in Irvine, CA.  

He was born on December 14, 1960 in North Carolina to Albert Lucas Hall and Nobuko Nakagawa Hall.  

He grew up in Irvine, CA, where he attended and graduated from University High School in 1978. 

Joseph had a strong academic background and earned his Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership, an MBA from the University of Redlands, with an emphasis in Global Business through the Institute of Economic and Political Studies at the University of Cambridge, England, along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix. 

Joseph spent 21 years working at The Boeing Company as a Security Officer and Liaison. Prior to his aerospace career, he was a Police Officer with the City of Inglewood, and with the Trust Territory of the U.S. Marshall Islands (U.S. Army’s Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site on Kwajalein Atoll)

Joseph was an avid reader and fisherman.  Later in life he found his true passion as a tournament golfer where he played and refereed many tournaments around the U.S.

Joseph had a big heart but didn’t want to let anyone know about it. He took care of his mother Nobuko Hall until she passed in January 2019. He was a devoted son, brother and friend to many.

Joseph is survived by a half-sister in Japan, Yoko Iwashita and her family.
