John Earl Waters

May 13, 1969 - July 07, 2022

John (Rev) Waters, age 53, passed away on July 7th, 2022 following a severe stroke. John was born in Los Angeles, California on May 13, 1969 to Sandra Kaye Waters.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Rebecca (Bridges) Waters and his two sons; Samuel Aidan (14 years of age) and Seth Alan (12 years of age), numerous family, and nieces and nephews.

As an only child John’s formative years were spent in the home of his mother Sandra and grand mother in Los Angeles, and later in Morro Bay, where he graduated from Morro Bay High School. John later graduated from the College of Oceaneering in Wilmington, California, with a degree in Commercial Diving and Inspection.

John spent the past seven years with his family in Delano, MN. John loved to make people laugh. He was generous with his time and money, enjoyed playing X-Box with his sons, and he loved his country. He participated whenever possible at Highlands Church, last teaching the kindergarten aged children in Sunday School.  We will remember his boisterous laugh and his easy going personality.  He was devoted to God, his wife, and family.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at The Highlands Church, on Saturday, July 16th, at 10:30 am with a time of visiting beginning at 9:30 am.

Margie and Joe Blair I met John when he started at Precision Coatings in Saint Paul, MN. His positive attitude and sense of humor always brightened my day. My wife Margie and I had the pleasure of meeting Amy, Sam, and Seth, kinder people we have never meet. I will never forget the laughs we had. Rest In Peace my friend……BON JOVI!!!

Steve Alves Very sorry to hear of John's passing. John worked for me in the 90's in Denver and he was such a good and decent man. I was fortunate to know Him, Godspeed my Brother.

Joe Wilkins My love and prayers are with Amy, Sam, and Seth. John and I met in our early 20’s when I had just moved to Morro Bay. We quickly became good friends and ended up being room mates in more places than I can remember over the next ten years. We were birds of a feather who became brothers. Many of my life’s best memories and things that make me smile and laugh or slowly shake my head in disbelief were things we did together. After our time going to school together in LA life took us in different physical directions, but we always stayed connected. I’m thankful for that because he met Amy, and she changed his life for the better. Rev, my brother, you are gone from this world too soon. I love you. I’ll see you on the other side… Jammin’
