Martin Damasio Bocanegra, 58 years old, peacefully passed away at his home at 17846 Road 26, Madera, Can 93638, surrounded by his loving family, utilizing the support of Compassionate Care Hospice and Home. He had a memorable, loving and peaceful transition to his "life after life". He was blessed by Father Carlos from St. Joachim Catholic Church prior to his death
He leaves behind his fiance Colleen Russo; grandson Mikee Molano; siblings Jose Bocanegra, Angelica Bocanegra, Ernesto Bocanegra, Beatriz Bocanegra, Sonia Para, Veronica Bocanegra and Florinda Honesto. He leaves his special brother-in-law Martin Vega Jr and his family members
He was preceded in death by his parents; Domasio Bocanegra and Maria Elodia Bocanegra; his grandparents; his brother Javier Bocanegra and his daughter Destiney Ann Marie Bocanegra
He will be greatly missed by his cousins, in laws, nephews, nieces and many dear friends
Martin was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico and raised in San Jose, Ca. He graduated from Santa Teresa High School in 1983 as "valedictorian", San Jose Vocational School (1980-1983) as an Auto Mechanic Technician, Hod-Carrier training (1983-1987) and GEO Day Reporting & Transition programs graduate. In 2017 he received a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of Madera as well as California State Senator and Assembly members
Martin enjoyed volunteering and donated to; Griffin Hall, Red Cross, Goodwill and Elections Department of Madera County
Martin enjoyed life. He kept people laughing by telling the same old jokes and find humor in their mundane lives. He loved to fish, play slots, listening to people's problems, work on his truck and help others in any way he could
Anyone that had the honor to know Martin, will miss him dearly
A special gratitude is extended to Florinda Honesto, who was willing to give one of her kidneys to Martin; Brianna Honesto and Elodia Anaya, for their endless hours assisting Martin in a perfect and comfortable transition of life
