Christina (Chris) M. Bodishbaugh went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 6, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Tucson, Arizona. She was born on June 24, 1956, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her ashes will be buried next to her son in Arkansas.
She and her surviving husband, Tim Bodishbaugh, had been married forty-one years. Chris was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Edwards, and, just last year, by her son, Michael N. Stiers (his surviving spouse, Lisa). Chris is blessed with daughters, Nichole Evans (Jesse) and Ashley McKinnon (Brian) currently living in Georgia; brothers, Keith and Craig Edwards in Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Chris spent many years as a nurse and then, for fifteen years prior to retirement, worked for the Arkansas Dept. of Human Services in the Human Resources Division.
Chris was known for her delicious fudge, which she made in several flavorful varieties for family and friends. She was also a big Razorback football fan, but her main identity was in Christ. She was a true believer in Jesus, which was expressed through her sweet, loving, caring, kind, and giving attitude. She loved God’s word and especially enjoyed her weekly Bible studies with friends in the community she called her “Bible Babes.” We will all miss Chris’ big, bright smile and strong faith.
Please join Chris' family and friends for a Celebration of Life gathering in the Burns Park Hospitality House, 402 W. Military Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 12:30 until 2:30 PM.
