Priest John Bernardi fell asleep in the Lord, at 9:10pm, Wednesday January 25. He was predeceased by grandson Matthew. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Matuska Barbara. Five children, Marie, Jean, Theresa, Joseph, John, Son in-law Christopher, daughter in-law Vivian, Prince, Michael, daughter in-law Dusty, John, daughter in-law June. Eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.

Born to Italian Immigrant parents, 3 older siblings predeceased him, he was first generation American born. USAF Retired, a Korean and Vietnam Veteran, he also served in the USMC Reserves. He served as an Eastern Orthodox Priest for over 42 years.

Holy Resurrection Antiochian Orthodox Church.

Wake at 5pm-7pm; Trisagion Prayers at 6pm

Tuesday February 7:
Funeral Service 9am

He will be buried at:
Saint Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery
4784 N St Joseph's Way, Florence, AZ 85132-9399
following the Funeral Service.

Men should have their arms covered while on Monastery grounds.
Women should wear a dress, ankle length, arms & toes covered and a head covering (hair should be fully covered under a scarf or head covering), while on Monastery grounds.
