On Monday, February 13th, 2023, Cecilia Marquez, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 75.  Cecilia was born in Texas and relocated to California with her family where she began her adult life.  Cecilia married Stephen Marquez and together over the last 50 plus years, they raised four children, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many others that through the years loved her and referred to her as Mom. 

Cecilia had a passion for all things western, a reflection of her Texas roots.  She enjoyed country music, the rodeo, dancing, and most of all being with family.  An animal lover, she spent much of her time caring for her pets and feeding the birds.  Cecilia was an avid collector of items she held sentimental value and a giver to anyone in need.  She was known by many for her friendly demeanor and loved by all that crossed her path.  Her feisty spirit and give' em hell attitude was all part of what made her special and will forever be cherished by those that knew her the best.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her mother Alejandra and father Mathias.  She is survived by her husband Stephen, sister Josephine, her four children Ruben-Anthony, Caroline, Jason, and Sarah, her granchildren Jennifer, Garrett, Braden-Nicholas, Alejandra, Arissa, Lillian, Jeremy, and Stephen, her daughter in laws Anne and Linda and her two great grandchildren Valencia and Emma.

Memorial will be announced upon final arrangements of internment.  Her loving family asks that in lieu of flowers a tree or plant be planted in her name.
