Rose Rita Militti

October 14, 1932 - March 27, 2023

Rose R. Militti passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023, at her home at the age of 90.

Rose’s place of birth is the Nicetown Section of Philadelphia.  She is the beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Anna S. DeBlasis (nee Saldutti).

Rose graduated from Philadelphia Girls High School.  

Rose was preceded in death by the Love of her life, the late John D. Militti They married in 1953 celebrating 40 years of Marriage, making the Tacony section of Philadelphia their home in 1953 to present.

Rose is the beloved sister of the late Vincent R. DeBlasis and the beloved sister-in-law of the late Anna May DeBlasis.

She is the beloved cousin of the late William (Billy) Saldutti and many other beloved cousins.

She is the beloved best friend since the age of 7 of the late Dorothy Linton.

Rose is the beloved aunt to Robert, Gary, Vincent and spouse Joanne, Lori and Spouse Joe and Nicholas and spouse Chrissy.

Rose is the beloved great aunt of Dallas, Nicky, Christopher, Nicholas, Robert, Aubrey, Michael, and the beloved late Vincent M. DeBlasis and many more fond family members.  

Rose will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Consolation Church (Tacony section of Philadelphia) 7056 Tulip Street, Philadelphia, PA followed by Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.

Nick DeBlasis Aunt Ro, 1 year today since you left us::( I know how much me and my little family meant to you and I really hope you know how much you meant to us. You are missed dearly and I think of you often trying to be thankful for all the wonderful family memories we shared together. 100 percent you were the best aunt a boy could ever ask for and I always told you that. Christine DeBlasis Aunt Rosie, From the very beginning you treated me with such love and respect. You were always so easy to talk to and laugh with. I will miss all of our weekend stays and Christmas' together. I will especially miss our phone calls. You were like a 2nd Mother to me always listened and really cared. Joanne , Vince DeBlasis Aunt Rosie, everyone knows there is Nothing like a Mothers Love. You had an undying Mothers Love for all of us our entire life. I can not imagine a Holiday or Birthday without you. You have been there my entire life. You were, are and always will be loved as a Mother to us. Nick DeBlasis Aunt Rosie, I Always told you that you were like a 2nd Mother to me and I meant it. You never missed a Birthday, a Christmas, or any other holiday in my entire life. As my last words to you were that you have been a foundation of our family for 90 years and you cannot be replaced. I will treasure all the terrific quality times that we shared together and thank you for loving me, Chrissy, Dallas and Nicky the way that you did!
