Carol Radecki, 74 years old, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, April 10, in the presence of her loving family. Her passage into the next phase of her extraordinary life was peaceful and dignified, surrounded by her loving family: her husband, Richard Radecki; her daughter, Deborah Baker (and her fiancé, Lou Falzarano); her granddaughter Breanna; her son, Michael Baker, (and his wife, Michelle); her son, John Radecki, (and his fiancé Maria Robinson); as well as her sisters Brenda Falke, Kathy Walsh Baner, and Patricia Walsh Diaz. She leaves many beautiful grandchildren: Christopher Baker, Katie Baker, Breanna Gioioso, Julia Gioioso, Spencer Radecki (his girlfriend, Grace, and their newborn great-grandchild, Scarlet), Brent Radecki, and Blake Radecki. Many relatives in Massachusetts and NJ survive her. Carol was born on Christmas Day and passed just a day shy of Easter Sunday. Carol and Rich moved to Tucson in 1994 and were captivated by the beautiful mountains, incredible sunsets, and gorgeous starry night skies. Carol grew up in Boston and had the accent and attitude to prove it. Carol was beloved for her warmth and her refreshing honesty. Like her favorite symbol, the butterfly, she is now free to fly and roam the heavens watching down on her beautiful family. Because she valued education as much as she did, her family is establishing a scholarship for St Mary’s Hospital employees in her honor. Funeral services were held at Avenidas Cremation & Burial in Tucson on April 14. We will have a celebration of life event in the Boston area this summer.
