On April 25, 2023, Patricia Ann Gage traveled peacefully over the rainbow to join God in heaven.
Patricia (Pat) was born on St. Patrick’s Day 1933 in Connellsville Pennsylvania. She was one of four children born to Geraldine and James Burford Shaffer. In the 1940s, her family relocated from Pennsylvania to Phoenix, Arizona. Pat graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1951. Her life brought her many experiences and adventures. She worked as a dance instructor with The Arthur Murray dance studio. A shill for the Fremont Casino. A personal secretary for the private airfield in Las Vegas. As well as a secretary for the visiting nurse service in Phoenix.
In 1963, she began the adventure of a lifetime when she joined in marriage to Joseph Cecil Gage. They enjoyed a very active outdoor life full of camping, boating, water skiing and fishing. In June of 1973 their one and only child, a daughter, joined the family. The family returned in 1995 to Arizona.
Her husband and daughter were astounded at the interesting choice of home in Pine, Arizona, that became their residence for the next 20+ years. During their time in Pine, they grew to know the community and were very well loved.
In 2021, they joined their daughter’s family in Tucson, Arizona. She loved being in their home, able to watch her grandson grow. On April 22, 2023, Patricia and her husband, Joseph, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Shortly after, she was called to heaven.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Joseph Cecil Gage, her daughter, Janet Warter, her son in law, Dan Warter, her grandson, Gage Warter and numerous wonderful nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
A special thanks to Casa de la luz for the incredible care and compassion during her final days.
Finally, we promise mom to always keep all our fingers up when driving.
