Alvin 'Ted' Filpula
Ted Filpula Jr. of Rancho Cordova, CA went to the Lord at 11:50 pm on May 13, 2023, after a long illness. He was surrounded by family and friend Kelly.
Ted was born in Ukiah California on December 1, 1956, to Alvin T. Filpula Sr. and Sue Filpula. He attended Casa Robles High School in Orangevale CA. After graduation, Ted enlisted in the Army. Ted was self-employed and cherished his many employees like family.
Ted was an avid hunter and lifetime SCI member. He enjoyed sharing his passion for hunting with his sons Rob, Jason and Matt. He took his grandchildren, Dominic, Hailey, Brandon, Dillon, Devon and Abigayle on their first hunts. He loved fishing, especially with his dad. Good music could get Ted singing. He also loved great food and occasionally, single malt scotch. Watching 49er games and cooking on holidays for family and friends gave him great joy.

Ted shared many fun times and concerts with his brother-in-law Sal Miano {Shannon}. He also enjoyed visits with his sister-in-law, Laura Ruggiero {Luke}, going to Neil Diamond concerts and having drinks with percussionist, King Errisson.
Ted absolutely cherished his longtime friend, Lee Newman. Lee visited several times a week at whatever hospital that Ted was in for the past 7.5 months. Lee was with Ted on the day of his passing, reading a Robert Heinlein book to Ted. His good friend, Frank Bartel visited Ted often and treasured their friendship. Ted enjoyed spending time and laughing with good friends June and Fred. I know that he appreciated all of you that took time to visit him while in the hospitals.

Once a person met Ted, he could not be forgotten.
Ted wasn't just a person; he is a presence.
He is the total love of my life.
Love to all of you,
Deb
