Flossie Bernice Harris

Flossie Bernice Harris of Oakland, CA passed away on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at 6:22 pm pst.

Flossie was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on April 29th, 1935 to Woodrow Fisher and Dorothy Jackson. She graduated from McClymonds High School and began studying in the Nursing Field. In 1984 she earned her Certificate in Nursing working as a CNA Certified Nursing Assistant where she was employed for years.

She enjoyed being near the beach, surrounded by family and friends.  Some of her hobbies were: Trips to Reno, Cooking, Collecting Figurines, Listening to Music, and Watching Westerns Movies. She took pride in wanting her children to succeed in life and loved her grandchildren.  

Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one son, one grandson, and one niece. 

Flossie is survived by her children: Mary Abosi, LaTanya Thompson, Leacia Harris, Gaither “Jerome” Harris, Rickey Harris, and LaToya Bradford. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and close and extended family.
