Jacquelyn Ann Smith was born at Parks Air Force Base in Pleasanton, California on July 7, 1955 and passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016. She was the fifth of seven children born to her parents Vallard Cassius and Veronica Catherine Smith. During her childhood, as a member of a military family, Jacquelyn lived in Pleasanton CA, Arlington VA, Carlisle PA, East Aurora NY, Taipei Taiwan, Canberra Australia and Los Altos Hills CA. 

Jacquelyn is survived by two children: Dylan Troetschler and Catherine Henderson, both of Castro Valley, CA; five siblings; four cousins; and numerous close friends and acquaintances. She has left a legacy of love, harmony and commitment to service that is second to none and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service is planned for December 4 at at 2:00 PM at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 19179 Center St., Castro Valley, CA.
