"Marjorie Carrington Googe, 95

Marjorie Carrington Googe, 95, died January 21, 2022 in Banning, California,
where she had lived for nearly 50 years. Born and raised in Susquehanna,
Pennsylvania, her family moved to Philadelphia, PA where she went to high
school, entered Nurse Cadet school and completed her nursing degree at the
Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing. She then joined the Air Force and
was trained to be a Nurse Anesthetist at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis,
Missouri. She received her wings as a flight surgeon and had an impressive
career in the Air Force, serving as a Nurse Anesthetist and being stationed
all over the world in places like Germany and Japan, to name but a few. She
received numerous awards including 1st Ribbon for Air Force Outstanding Unit
Award, 2nd Ribbon for National Defense, a 3rd Ribbon for Air Force Longevity
Service, as well as the impressive Air Force Commendation Medal and Ribbon
for Meritorious service while serving in Dover Delaware."
