Annis Skousen

Annis Skousen of Berkeley, CA passed away on Sunday evening June, 25, 2023.

BACKGROUND WORK HISTORY

Annis was born in Phoenix , AZ on August 23, 1942 to Don and Julia Skousen..SHe attended Arizona State University studying sports medicine and earning a degree in [degree major].  She joined the Peace Corps and served 2 years in Guyana South America. When she returned from the Peace Corps she moved to Berkeley CA to get a job teaching in Pittsburg. She went back to school in Indiana to get her masters and then returned to work in Pittsburg. Annis spent 35 years Teaching Physical Education at Central Middle School in Pittsburg. She retired in 20.

OTHER INTERESTS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Annis enjoyed traveling, meeting new people and sharing good food. She loved her family and cherished her friends. Annis was a proud member of Wa Sung Community Service Organization where she was recently recognized as member of the year. Annis loved all sports and continued to play golf into her last year. She loved going to baseball games and cheering on the A’s.

SURVIVORS

She is survived by her sisters Pat and Julien and her many nieces and nephews.  Annis was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Annis brought joy to the world and truly gave her whole heart in service and friendship to those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
