Obituary of Bonita Susan Fletcher Wright-Rosser.
Bonita Susan Fletcher died on July 7, 2023. Born on October 17, 1944, in Patterson New Jersey at Paterson General Hospital to Helen Theresa Fletcher (née Stager) and Walter Matthews Fletcher.
She graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls, NJ in 1960.
Bonnie outlived two husbands. Her first husband was United States Navy CB (Seabee) Ralph Wright, who died in 1978. Her second husband who was a USN Chief Petty Officer David L. Rosser died in 2010.
Bonnie traveled extensively with her two military spouses and lived all over the US and abroad. She moved to Whidbey Island in 2010 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
She died at Life Care Centers of Skagit Valley in the early hours of July 7, 2023.
Bonita is survived by her two daughters and three sons as well as their spouses, fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was quick to laugh and quick to smile. She embraced the bright side of any situation and often refused to entertain thoughts of darkness or unhappiness regardless of circumstances. Whether laughing at a kitschy singing stuffed animal or watching the old movies she loved, she was always quick to involve everyone around her in her fun. She lived a long life of seeing the world through rose-colored glasses and left a lasting impression on all of us.
There will be a celebration of Bonnie’s life in late August on Whidbey Island.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that pictures and stories of Bonnie be sent to poppy_pepper200@yahoo.com to be read at the celebration of life in late August.
