Eric Abel Garcia

November 25, 1974 - July 25, 2023

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our dad, Eric Abel Garcia, at the age of 48. Our dad ascended to heaven at approximately 9:20 a.m., on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 surrounded by all of his loved ones.

He is survived by; his wife, Veronica Garcia; his parents Abel Garcia and Dolores Garcia; his children Janine Tobias, Jesse Garcia and Jazmine Blanchard; his grandchildren James Garcia, Orion Tobias, Jesse Garcia and Olivia Tobias; and his siblings Hector Garcia, Nancy Garcia and Jenny Leon.

Eric Abel Garcia was born on November 25, 1974 in Los Angeles, California. He was the second child to parents Abel and Dolores. He grew up in Whittier, California. There he met Veronica Silva when he was 15 years old and they were immediately inseparable. Eric and Veronica were married on May 17, 1996. Soon after having their third child they purchased their home and relocated to Fontana, CA where they raised their children until adulthood.

Eric graduated as a counselor and was valedictorian of his class. He then accomplished his dream of being a sheet metal worker for Local Union 105 which is where he worked for most of his adult life. He was a hard worker and passed that quality on to his children. One of his sayings was “do something even if it’s wrong.” Eric valued family, patriotism, integrity and friendship.

He loved and protected his family to the fullest. Veronica was his best friend and wife of 27 years. He had a close bond with his parents and made sure to call them everyday. He was always willing to help family and friends when needed. He was proud of all his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them new things. He taught them how to break dance and wasn’t ashamed to do silly things just to see his grandchildren smile.

Eric was the life of the party and enjoyed dancing to oldies with his wife. To know Eric is to love him. His laugh and light will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
