Theodore (Ted) G. Freeman, Jr. of Milwaukie, Oregon passed away in Milwaukie, at the home of his son Rob and daughter-in-law Ami, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Ted had been on hospice living in his own home until the last two weeks of his life when he moved to Rob's home to be cared for by family. He had a peaceful and comfortable passing surrounded by family.

Ted was born in Portland, Oregon on November 27, 1943 to Theodore and Greta Freeman.  He attended Milwaukie High School. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force for four years, where he was mostly stationed in Great Falls, Montana. Ted enjoyed spending time in the Mt. Hood National Forrest either camping or going for a day trip to sit. 

He is survived by his children Julia Dillard (spouse Troy), Robert Freeman (spouse Ami) and Glenn Pittenger. His two brothers Paul Freeman (spouse Heidi) and Richard Freeman (spouse Sheila). Then there are the grandchildren that he loved so much: Kate, Alexa, Caleb, Noah and Emily. He was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Greta and his ex-wife Alice Jane Freeman (Hancock). Even though Ted and Jane had divorced they remained good friends. When Jane was diagnosed with terminal cancer Ted took her into his home to care for her with the help of hospice until her death in 1988. 

At Ted's request there will not be a funeral or memorial service.
