Anthony “Tony” Coyne

Anthony Joseph Coyne passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 87. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Anthony was born in Lettermore, County Galway, Ireland, to John and Bridget Coyne. One of eight children Anthony immigrated to New York in his early 20’s, joining his sister Mary.
After a few years in New York, he relocated to Boston where he met his future wife (Monica), after being introduced by her brother, and together they started their family. The family relocated to California where they settled in San Ramon, for a life more reminiscent of his childhood.
Anthony was an exceptional carpenter, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Anthony was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings (Barbara, Bridget, Mary and Patrick). Survived by his loving wife Monica, children Maria, John, Monica, Barbara and Rosemary and grandchildren Ian, Shane, Siobhan, Kaytlyn, Josh, Roisin, Kamryn, Thomas, Aodhan and Kayleigh. He is also survived by his siblings Ann, Noreen and John.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Saint Raymond’s Catholic Church in Dublin (11555 Shannon Avenue) at 10 a.m. on October 7th.
