Rebecca Susan Crockett

October 17, 1961 - January 16, 2021

Rebecca Susan Crockett, 59, of Tucson, Arizona passed at her home on January 16, 2021.  She was born on October 17, 1961, in Alton, Illinois, and moved to Arizona more than 20 years ago.  Rebecca attended schools in Alton, Illinois before her family moved to Jerseyville, Illinois in 1977.  She was a 1979 graduate of Jersey Community High School and was actively involved in the band program while attending.  As a student in Alton School District, Rebecca was a part of the Alton High School Band and Orchestra programs as a violinist. She demonstrated further artistic talent throughout her life as a writer, poet, and lyricist.  Rebecca was also a Majority Member of Job's Daughters International and was a Past Honored Queen of the former Bethel #95 in Alton, Illinois. 
 
Rebecca is survived by her longtime companion, Mike Olsen of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Raven (Eric) Eckert of Alton, IL; a son, Maxwell Vandiver of Alton, IL; her mother, Mary Helen (Bock) Loy of Jerseyville, IL; four sisters, Melissa (Kevin) Meske of Bunker Hill, IL, Jill Delp of Jerseyville, IL, Sandra Seagraves of Elgin, IL, and Cathy Island of Dallas, TX; four brothers, William (Tina) Crockett of Centralia, MO; Alan Crockett of Alton, IL; David Crockett of Austin, TX, and Daniel (Katie) Crockett of Carlinville, IL; and two grandchildren, with a third due in August of this year.
 
Rebecca is preceded in death by her father, Charles Daniel Crockett, formerly of Alton, IL.
 
Per Rebecca's wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A memorial celebration of life will be held in Illinois later this spring.
