Dorothy Lee passed away in S. San Francisco on 12 October 2023.  Dorothy was born in San Antonio, Texas to Mabel and Lim Lee, the eldest of three children.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Woo, and is survived by her brother, Roscoe Lee.

After graduating from San Antonio Technical High School, Dorothy attended and graduated from Southwest Texas State Teachers College (now Texas State University).  She taught high school in Rockport. Texas for a couple of years before moving to Oakland/San Francisco where she taught at George Washington High School.  Even after she retired from teaching, Dorothy continued to help with the graduation ceremonies.

Dorothy was an excellent seamstress and created incredible stitcheries, which she gave to family members and friends.  She was a world traveler including trips to Machu Picchu and China.  In China, she visited the home villages of her mother and father.  She enjoyed photography and created many albums containing pictures from her trips and from her interactions with her many friends.  

Dorothy enjoyed professional sports and shared season tickets for the San Francisco Giants with friends.  

Dorothy was the ultimate organizer and planner as reflected in her passing exactly on her 88th birthday.
