Deborah Eve Hall-Wherry

September 24, 1953 - December 22, 2023

Deborah Eve Hall-Wherry was born to Willie Mack Hall-Wherry & Betty Glynn Hall. Though she was born & raised in Southern California, she spent much of her childhood & early adulthood in Memphis, Tennessee as well.
Deborah was highly intelligent, fast-thinking, & had a witty comeback for every conversation.  She brought sunshine to any gloomy occasion & had a knack for creating laughter among those who surrounded her.  She had a compassionate heart for all forms of life.  Her love for animals rivaled that of a mother over her children.
Deborah handled life's challenges & defeats with incredible grace.  She was well-rounded & fair & was a source of great wisdom & advice for any situation. Her words were thoughtful, kind, & honest.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, & playing the guitar. She was a talented seamstress & she enjoyed teaching her children & their friends anything from cooking her famous biscuits & gravy or baked beans, to playing guitar.
Deborah was a devout Christian & was known as the peacemaker among her family.  She believed in forgiveness & the power of prayer.  She prayed ungrudgingly for the salvation & peace for many people, especially for her estranged sister, Deanna Marietta, whom she continued to love unconditionally to her last breath.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael Hall, her sister, Melinda Hall, & her beloved dog, Shiloh.
She is survived by her children, Stephan Lopez Jr. & Sunny Jowers; her grandchildren Brittany Jowers-Shumaker (Brandon), Shelby Lopez, & Justin Lopez; her great-granddaughters, Brooklyn & Brienne Shumaker; her brothers, Patrick "Steve" Hall, Mark Howard (Lin), William "Tony" Constantino (her "first baby" whom she loved so dearly), & Ricky Wherry; & many nieces & nephews.
Her family was her greatest treasure.  She was truly the matriarch in every sense of the word.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
