In Memorium - Andre Major
Andre Major, 41, passed away on Friday, January 19th, 2024 at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, CA. Andre Maurice-Marquis Major was born on May 9, 1982 in Redwood City, CA to Justine Major (mother) and Ronald Green (birth father).
Andre was raised by his mother as a single parent, with the help and support of her parents, Sharon Major (deceased) and Frank and Sheryl Major (Justine's father and stepmother), as well as his godmother Cynthia Anderson. Unfortunately, Andre did not know his birth father, or any of his paternal relatives.
In 1987, Justine married Ronald Bramlett, (Andre's stepfather). With this marriage, Andre gained a loving dad, an aunt and uncle (Reginald and Mary Bramlett), cousins (Jessica, Janel, Julie and Jasmin Bramlett), and two more loving grandparents (George and Mary Bramlett). In 1988, Andre was blessed with his baby sister Vanessa Bramlett, who he shared his childhood with, and adored and protected from birth.
Andre was a kind and loving child, and did very well in school. He was a big fan of sports- some of his favorite teams were the Golden State Warriors (but his favorite player was Michael Jordan of the Bulls), the Oakland Athletics, and the San Francisco 49ers. He was also extremely athletic himself, with his sport of choice being soccer. He more than excelled in it, traveling throughout the U.S. playing soccer and abroad in both Amsterdam and Brazil. His skills took him as far as attending the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA at the age of 15, where he trained with famous female soccer player Mia Hamm. Andre was also a big fan of music, specifically Michael Jackson and various rap and hip hop artists of the 90s and 2000s.
In 1997, Justine and Ronald Bramlett divorced when Andre was 15. Eventually, Andre acquired an additional mother, Denise Pemberton, with the marriage of Justine and Denise. With this union, Andre and his sister Vanessa attained even more family.
Andre was a graduate of Sierra High School in Manteca, CA. At the age of 18, Andre enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served for one year on a submarine. A few years later, he met his long time partner and mother of his children, Andria White. Andria already had two amazing children (Makayla and Jason Silva) from a prior relationship, gaining Andre a built-in family. Together, they started their own family with the births of a beautiful daughter (Autumn Rayne Major) in 2008, and a handsome son (Andre Jr.) in 2011. What Andre loved most in life was being a father and he treasured having a family.
Andre's death is preceded by his beloved:
Great Grandmother Julia Cowden
Grandmother Sharon Major
Grandparents George and Mary Bramlett
Step Grandfather Clarence Pemberton Jr.
Great Aunt Marlene Adams
May they all Rest in Peace and greet Andre in Heaven
