Dan Green, died on January 24, 2024 at home in Alameda, CA. He was born in Klamath Falls, OR on October 27, 1940.
He married Sandy Chaney in 1988, and they lived in Diamond Valley for 33 years. He became a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Eureka, County Search & Rescue and helped to organize the "Run What You Brung" car show.
He and Sandy retired to Alameda, CA in 2021, where he enjoyed watching his great nieces and nephews participate in their various activities. Dan said he was never so cold as when watching the boys play baseball with that wind coming in off the bay - colder than Diamond Valley in a snowstorm. He loved to sit outside and kibbutz with all the dog walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and toddlers who called him "Poppa Dan", neighbors and friends. It was the highlight of his day. He will be missed by all of us.
