Bryan Jon Laughlin

August 01, 1963 - January 31, 2024

In Loving Memory of Bryan J. Laughlin
Bryan Jon Laughlin, 60 years old, (Vancouver, WA and formerly of La Grande, OR) passed away surrounded by friends and family on January 31, 2024, in Woodburn, OR. He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born on August 1, 1963, Bryan was a loving and supportive son to Jack and Barbara Laughlin. He grew up in La Grande, OR, where he developed a caring heart, a keen sense of humor, and a knack for creating a good time. Bryan was a graduate of La Grande High School (‘81) and Eastern Oregon State College (B.S. Computer Science ‘87 and B.S. Business-Economics ‘88). He dedicated his professional life to accounting and tax preparation, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, clients, and friends.
Friends and family were at the center of Bryan's world. He was a generous brother, uncle, and friend who cherished moments spent with loved ones. He celebrated Christmas with gusto, as attested by his collection of Santa hats and decorations. He celebrated the close of tax season with trips to Las Vegas and prepared for the next season charging up in Hawaii. An avid bowler with several perfect 300s to his name, he also enjoyed golf plus rooting on the Mariners and Seahawks.
A memorial service to celebrate Bryan’s life will be held on March 30, 1:00 pm,  at the Barrel Room in La Grande, OR. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Partnership in Community Living in Oregon (https://pclpartnership.org/donate/). Bryan not only supported this organization but served on its board of directors.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Jack. Survivors include siblings Kelly (Laughlin) and Paul Anderes, Chad and Karen Laughlin, Tammy (Laughlin) and Nick Greenwell; his niece, nephews, and grand-nephews; and a myriad of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His departure leaves a Bryan-sized void that can never be filled, but the love and memories shared will remain an enduring tribute to a life well-lived.
