Karen Ann Puskas passed away on May 6, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1951 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Alvin and Norita (Mullin) Larson. She briefly attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, where she met the love of her life. She married John Edward Puskas on April 28, 1973 in Hutchinson, Kansas. They honeymooned in Colorado, and that's where they decided to build their lives together.
She became a mother to two daughters, whom she loved deeply through thick and thin. She was so proud of her girls.
From family camping trips to sharing a beer on the porch swing together, she spent her years enjoying nature with her family.
Karen loved the experience and peace of mountain living. Watching the local wildlife, feeding the birds and identifying wildflowers were some of her favorite pastimes. Chatting with friends and neighbors always brought her joy.
Karen is survived by her two daughters, Susan Lawson and husband Max of Parker, CO and Kari Johnson and husband Alvin, of Littleton, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Services are being planned and will be announced once finalized.
