Gasper Anthony Bontempo Jr.

July 29, 1942 - July 03, 2024

Gasper "Tony" Anthony Bontempo Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, passed away at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernadino, CA on July 3rd, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on July 29th, 1942, in Hattiesburg, MS, and most recently resided in Fontana, CA. Tony was a loving and dedicated family man whose proudest accomplishment was raising his children. 

Tony is survived by his children Krista, Shelly, Anna, Nicole, Gasper III, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He was a cherished brother to Bill, Flo, Fran, Terry, Jim, and Gina.

Throughout his life, Tony made a positive impact on the lives of those around him as a supportive member of the community and friend to his neighbors. He was known for his kind and giving nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. Tony had a deep love for God and found solace in his faith. 

In his free time Tony enjoyed wood-working, collecting and building model cars, researching family ancestry and networking with distant relatives. 

Tony served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an Airman Supply Helper while stationed at Kenneth Ingalls Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Michigan demonstrating his dedication to his country.

Tony is now at rest, reunited with his beloved wife Peggy, brother Bill, mother Marinel, and father Gasper Sr. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
