My dear husband Gilbert lived his earthly life as a diamond in the rough. His bright personality cast rays of sunshine into even the deepest corners, casting away darkness, and bringing joy and laughter to friends and strangers alike. The whole world was Gilbert's friend. Always happy to impress with an impeccably delivered acting performance of a good one liner or two, he was light on his feet and worked hard when that work was resulting in a permanent product or service that helped someone out or made their day better in some way. He enjoyed volunteering for Camp Fire Columbia, specifically Camp Namanu.
He ended his 23 year tenure with U.S. Bank in November of 2023, and was set to enjoy early retirement as the father of a brilliant 14 year old autistic child. Gilbert is survived by his third wife Sigrid and their 14 year old daughter Sarina;
Gillbert's 36 year old son Jeremy, his wife Emily, and their 5 children; Gilbert's mother Jean;
Gilbert's sister Nancy and family; Gilbert's brother Robert and family; Gilbert's brother Steven and family; Jeremy's mother and Gilbert's first wife Debbie; Gilbert's second wife Marilyn; and many close friends and extended family, both near and far. Gilbert loved locomotives and a good micro brew, but more than those things, he valued friendship and his connection with his Heavenly Father, above anything or anyone else. I believe that his heart and soul rests with his children, Jeremy and Sarina. May they always feel his presence as their father watches over them from Heaven.
