Sharon Lynne Alter Bennett of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on July 25, 2024.

Sharon was born in Marion, Indiana, on March 11, 1941, to Meltha Kinzie Spahr and Gareth "Guy" Spahr. She worked for SCM Office Supplies in Marion, Indiana, for many years until their closing. She went back to school and studied Business Administration. 

She enjoyed her crafts, such as knitting and crocheting. She spent many years making quilts until her hands wouldn't cooperate. She enjoyed hearing from her many grandchildren. She had six grandchildren: Cory (Bethanie) Alter, Kinzie (Chaz) Wagner, Aaron (Alicia) Morris, Brad ( Brittani) Morris, Mikel (Kaylyn) Morris, and Brooke Alter. She had 11 great-grandchildren (Colton, Embry, Beckett, Nathan, Anna, Maci, Brylie, Taytum, Bruno, Jayce, and Blake). and 1 great-great-granddaughter (Sophia).

She is survived by her three children: John (Tonya) Alter, Janice (Rick) Morris, and Kevin (Laura) Alter. The father of her children and husband of many years (Carl Franklin Alter) predeceased Sharon, as did her parents. She is survived by her ex-husband and special friend, Garland Bennett.
