Dover, NH - Jeanne Culhane Everett, 94, passed peacefully October 9th, at her new home surrounded by immediate family in Sausalito, CA. Born April 27th, 1930, Jeanne was the loving daughter of Thomas and Evangeline (Fitzgerald) Culhane of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Jeanne attended Cambridge Latin High School in Cambridge, MA, and went on to Emerson College in Boston. A lifelong ballet dancer, Jeanne danced with Mary Corbett Burns of Cambridge and pursued a career with the Ballet Corps of Radio City in New York City. Jeanne was introduced to her future spouse by one of her ballet students, Beverly Silva, a cousin of her future spouse. Jeanne married Warren E. Everett Jr at St. John’s Church in Cambridge, MA on December 26th, 1949. They settled in Wilmington, MA and had four children.
Jeanne created the Jeanne Culhane Everett School of Dance in Wilmington for 35 years before retiring to York Beach, ME in 1987. Beloved spouse Warren passed August 6th,1998, and Jeanne moved to Dover, NH in 2003 with daughter Donna Marie and family. Jeanne is predeceased by brother James J. Culhane of Patchogue, NY, and her son Warren E. Everett III of Southern Pines, NC.
Jeanne was a loving and devoted mother to daughter Sheryl and husband Lee Farrar of Nashua, NH, Donna Marie Everett of Sausalito, CA, and son Stephen Everett of Prescott Valley, AZ. Jeanne was a beloved grandmother and great grandmother to: Warren Everett IV and his wife Christine of Hollysprings, GA, and their four sons; Jenny Everett and her husband Amyn Lakhani of Fairfax, VA; Kelly Everett and her son Braylon of Westford, MA; Leah Grace Ingram and her children, Wilhelmina and Callum Gilbert, of Sausalito, CA; and grandsons Rowan and Tristan Everett of Prescott Valley, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wentworth Home Health and Hospice, in Somersworth, NH, who provided much support and care to Jeanne for the last 17 months, or By the Bay Hospice of Marin County, CA, that continued to care for Jeanne into her final days in Sausalito. Private family services to be arranged at a later date.
