Sandra Lee Odum left this world on November 3rd, 2024. She passed peacefully from Heart disease. She was 65 years old. Sandra always found great joy in her family and great strength and love in her Christian faith. In the end, this was all that mattered. Sandra Lee was born in Colmbus, Ohio April 20, 1959 to David H Odum and Jo Ann (Kindler) Odum. Sandra as a beloved mother, foster parent to 64 children, a testament to womanhood, Grandmother and recently Great Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend.
Sandra was called home to the Lord, Quoting Isaiah 57:1, “The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.”

Sandra is lovingly remembered and loved by her husband Lawrence P. Crist (you decorated my life); her son Charles Straley and Jane Cathleen, Tyra and Husband, Daniel, and Matthew. She is preceded in death by Father David H Odum, Mother Jo Ann Odum (Kindler), “late”husband (Ray) Straley, her “late” son Kevin Straley, Brothers Micahel and Patrick Odum.
She is survived by two step children, sons and daughter: James Straley, Charles Straley, Daniel Straley, Tyra Goins (Straley) and Matthew Straley, her siblings Jackie Nash (Odum), Bill and Charlotte Odum, twelve Grandchildren, 5 Great Grand children, nieces, nephews, many cousins, loved ones and friends.
The family takes solace in knowing that her compassionate spirit and legacy of love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Sandra worked at various jobs in her life, Graham Ford as a receptionist, later Kroger Company baker, human resources personnel, and finally twenty and a half years for the Walmart Company. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family where she lived a life characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and all those in need of a kind word or a listening ear. With a passion for caring for others, Sandra’s presence was a source of comfort and strength. She was known for her fierce loyalty and the deep connections she forged with those she brought into her life, including many who became like family to her. Her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and all those in need of a kind word or a listening ear. Straightforward, yet kind and courteous towards all with a hint of wisdom and spunk.
She is also remembered as being kind and generous by those who knew her. She was joyful and positive. Sandra had the kindest smile that would make anyone feel welcome. She was feisty and fun-loving and a pleasure to be around. She was always there for her family when they needed her and helped them out often. She thrived on connecting with and helping others. Sandra Lee imparted lessons of resilience and adaptability throughout her life, especially during her health challenges later in life. Sandra loved country and pop music, digital and board games, word puzzles, as well as various coloring books, played softball, and huge fan of Tennesse Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State Football, and baseball Cleveland Indians, in addition loved traveling and motorcycling. She loved her Boxer dogs Magnus of Thor, Zeus of Magnus and lil Jinny Sophia Rose and the many litters, as well as Boxer Rescues, in which she took pleasure in and never tired of. She could not wait to adopt another.
