John Andrew Rogers was born on June 16, 1964 and passed away on the morning of January 3, 2025, in Daly City, California.
John was adopted by his parents, Joy and Albert, in 1967 and grew up living in South San Francisco, California. He attended South San Francisco High School until he went into the Navy in 1983 where he suffered an unfortunate knee injury. He then met the love of his life, Ysolde, and they got married in August 1988. This is the same year he attended Sequoia Institute for mechanics. He and Ysolde later welcomed a daughter, Erica, in early 1992.
John made a name for himself selling cars in South City for years until he and his family moved to Tucson, Arizona. He and his wife then owned a carpet cleaning business prior to his work as a border patrol agent, prison guard, and armed security guard.

John enjoyed being surrounded by family. He was a die-hard, hometown 49er fan and loved watching his team every season. He was also an avid video game player and enjoyed playing video games with his youngest granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Ysolde Rogers; his daughter, Erica Escobar; and his granddaughters, Jade and Alice Escobar. He is now joined in heaven by his mother and father, Joy and Albert Rogers.
While John did not wish to have services, we’d like to invite anyone that has fond memories with him to share them in the comments below.
