To the Lui Family, my deepest sympathy goes out to you all at this time. I worked with Mark, but in a different department (IT). From the first day I met him, he always showed true friendship. He always had a great story to tell, something encouraging to say about whatever I had on my plate at the time, offering kind words and different view that made you look and feel positive. Always so kind to everyone. He's one of the people you meet in life and will never, ever forget. He helped everyone, no matter what. He will be greatly missed here at MTA. Please take care of yourselves in this time of grief and sorrow. May you all find comfort in the joy he brought to so many. Rest in peace Mark.

Dear Elaine, James, John & entire Lui Family: Words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss! Mark is the one who I will never forget from my MTA work journey. He was the most genuinely kind colleague and even mentor who supported me the most even we were in different unit of the Finance but came across with quite a bit of projects to deal with together. He stopped by my cubicle, shared with me all valuable info and gave me tips on how to sort things out from a maze per his decades of experience. He was always supportive and showed his big heart to offer hands in real actions! Please do take care during such difficult time!
Dear Mark, I will never forget your smile, your positive vibe, your decades-long invaluable knowledge in all aspects, your demeanors, your sincere support and all those great conversations we had. Your legacy will forever be remembered. May you rest in peace!

I just want the family to know ... I'm sure it won't come as any surprise, but Mark was one of the brightest lights at the agency, always just a pleasure to work with. He was unfailingly upbeat while doing a job that can take a lot out of you. He will be deeply missed around here.

Dear Lui Family, I share my condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked on the same floor as Mark and loved catching up with him whenever we both happened to be in the office. He was such a proud father and husband. I really enjoyed my conversations with him. His outlook on life and parenthood was so positive. I hope you are surrounded by love and comfort during this time.

Dear Elaine, James, and John - You've never met me before, but I worked with Mark for easily over a decade. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. As my MTA colleagues have noted, Mark was a pleasure to work. We would end our meetings inevitably talking about "fun stuff": upcoming vacations, family events, etc. Please know he only ever talked lovingly about you all, and I could tell his happiest moments were time with his family. Mark reminded me to cherish family time. Please take care during this difficult time and cherish the memories.

As I read Mark's obituary, I am reminded of the beautiful human he was. I worked with Mark and recall him always encouraging. While Mark was seemingly serious sometimes, he definitely showcased his lighthearted personality during work lunch hours. I was impressed with all the wonderful memories he built with family as he once shared his adventures. I am sorry to hear of Mark's passing but also it warms the heart that he left behind life changing lessons to your family. Mark is a reminder of how one person can touch so many others positively both in the home and out. Please accept my condolences, may you find strength in each other and cherish Mark's legacy and teachings.

To Mark's Family,
It has been a pleasure working with Mark these past almost 5.5 years. The love he had for you all was so evident. I enjoyed talking cars with Mark and appreciated the advice he would give me about work and about life. And one bit of advice that will always stick with me is before having one of my daughters Mark told me “soak in all the baby sounds you will miss them one day”. That advice stuck with me through the craziness of the newborn stage and I made an effort to soak up those moments more. I will miss Mark greatly. Sending my deepest condolences to you all.
