Heather Marie Carpenter, age 48, passed away in her Mothers home with family by her side on February 2, 2025, in her hometown of Salida, Colorado. Born on June 17, 1976, at Salida Hospital to Deborah Carpenter and Ron Carpenter. Heather was a beacon of kindness and dedication, known for her caring nature and strong work ethic.
Heather's zest for life was evident through her love of the outdoors, including camping, hiking,and exhilarating rides through the hills. An avid enthusiast of 4-wheeling and mud bogging, shefound joy in every adventure. Heather cherished her family deeply, especially her nephew
Kaleb, with whom she shared a special bond. The holidays were a time of joy for her,celebrating with loved ones during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A woman of faith, Heather was an active member of Furnace Ministries, where she had a veryclose relationship with longtime childhood friend and Pastor Jesse Kelly and his wife, Lisa. Her
hobbies included coloring, a relaxing pastime that allowed her to express her creativity. Heather also had a unique passion for collecting distinctive shoes and bicycles, each piece reflecting her
individual style.
Heather is survived by her parents, Deborah and Ron Carpenter; siblings, Holly Carpenter(Vegas), Leah Cunningham, and Ben Carpenter; nephews, Kaleb, Joran, Layne, Jake, Grady,and Westly Carpenter; nieces, Kaylin Culp and Sidney Lewis; uncles, Ed Fryer (Julie) and CullyFryer (Celeste); aunt, Charlotte Brinkerhoff (Don); and many cousins, great-nieces, and
nephews. Heather's beloved pit bull, Dante, who was her devotedcompanion and best friend,also survives her.
She was preceded in death by her aunts, Darlene and Doreen Fryer; grandparents, Lucinda and Richard Fryer, Agnes and Charles Carpenter; and stepmother, ElLouise Carpenter.
A Celebration of Life for Heather will be held in the spring, allowing friends and family to gatherand honor her memory in the beauty of the season she loved so much. Heather's legacy of love,
friendship, and faith will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
