It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Joy Kamp. Born in Woodland California as Donna Joy Olsen on April 3, 1939. Passing on to Heaven on March 15, 2025.
She leaves behind her husband, Norm and three daughters, Katrina Pearce of Meridian Idaho, Karen Cottrell of Redding California, and Barbara Williams of Meridian Idaho, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and one brother, Robert Olsen.
Donna met her husband at college in San Jose, California on February 2, 1960. They married two months later on April 2, 1960, in Reno Nevada. They completed 65 years of marriage. Their marriage was a fairytale, having formed so many relationships and traveled to so many places. Donna is well known for her joy, laughter, and faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.
She was also known as a partner and entrepreneur. She owned and operated Auburn Toys and Hobby in California, giving craft classes and holding annual Christmas shows on how to make Christmas goods. She was also owner and operator and developer of Boise Tour Train and Boise Shuttle in Boise Idaho. Providing airport/hotel shuttle and the Boise State Football Shuttle.
Donna was an avid golfer and tennis player at Crane Creek Country Club for nearly 25 years. Donna volunteered as a sports mom and chauffeur for her girls in sports, church, high school, and college youth groups and activities in Redding California.
She was a longtime member at Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho.
A service is being held on April 10, 2025, at 10:00 am at Treasure Valley Baptist Church, 1300 South Teare Avenue, Meridian, Idaho 83642. Additionally, for those unable to travel, the service will be live streamed.
