Benetta Brown

Benetta Brown of Long Beach, California, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on April 29th, 2025, in Long Beach, CA.

Benetta Brown was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 8th, 1940, to Fred Smith and Edwillis Smith. 

Benetta enjoyed working out, specifically body pump, making all kinds of crafts, and shopping on QVC.  She was a proud member of Mt Nebo Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. 

She is survived by her husband of over 25 years, Carl Brown, daughter Gilneta Butler, son-in-law Terrance Butler Sr, son Eric Gardner, and daughter-in-law Celeste Gardner, grandsons Terrance Butler Jr. and Tristan Butler, and was predeceased by son Giles Gardner, Jr.
