Keith Brian Jaenke was born to Elmer Otto Jaenke, and Blodwen Doreen Jaenke (nee' Hawkins) on January 29th 1955.
The youngest of four children, he grew up in the Woodstock neighborhood of East Portland, where he graduated from Marshall High School. He enjoyed motorcycles, muscle cars and fishing.
A lifelong fisherman, Keith was happiest in his boat trolling for salmon in the ocean outside Tillamook Bay Oregon, where he and and Bayliner Trophy were a familiar sight for more than two decades.
Keith worked at Precision Castparts for more than 40 years, starting as a re-work grinder but spent most of his career as a Welder. A strong believer in organized labor he help to organize several unsuccessful campaigns to unionize PCC's Portland operations.
Keith was married to Melissa Vreeland in December 1978, and they remained together for his remaining 47 years.
He will be remembered by those who knew him best as a man who stood on his beliefs and acted out of principal, a person who continued to grow and learn as he aged, a devoted son and brother, a loving father, husband and grandfather, a good friend and a man who was a willing hand to help whenever he was needed.
Keith was predeceased by his Mother (1997) and Father (2007), his older sister Doreen Naughton (2011), and brother Allen Jaenke (2025).
He is survived by his wife Melissa, his daughter Janet Stude, his son Karl Jaenke, his grand daughters Ramona and Anastacia, his sister Barbara Anderson, as well as more than a dozen nieces and nephews.
Keith was followed in death shortly after by his eldest grand daughter, Olivia Jaenke, with whom he shared an exceptionally close bond.
Both Keith and Olivia will be held forever in the hearts and memories of those they have left behind.
