Timothy John Collin
5th March 1969 to 28th December 2025
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy John Collin, who died on 28th December 2025 in Chino Hills, California
Tim was born and raised in Woodley, England, and spent part of his childhood living in Le Vésinet, France.
At the age of 18, he moved to Sheffield, where he studied and built his life and raised his two sons. Sheffield remained his home for many years.
He worked as a social worker for Barnsley Council, dedicating his professional life to supporting vulnerable individuals and families within the community.
Music and alternative culture shaped many chapters of his life, from punk and metal to American rockabilly and psychobilly, reflecting both his independence and his acceptance of people from all walks of life.
He loved animals and nature, and found meaning in the world around him.
Helping others was simply part of who he was, and he continued to support people in his local community in California.
He is survived by his sons, Adam and Sean, his wife Monica, and his stepchildren Josh and Angie.
Family arrangements are being managed privately across the United Kingdom and the United States.
He will be remembered for the lives he touched and the many chapters of a life lived on his own terms.
