Gregory Shane Doss

July 10, 1970 - May 25, 2026

It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of our loved one, Gregory Shane Doss on May 25,2026 at the age of 55. Gregory was born in Taft, CA on July 10, 1970 to Gary and Nancy Doss.
Gregory was a sweet soul who was loved by all who knew him.
Greg had great love for the American flag which his father, Gary, had bravely fought for in Vietnam. Greg also loved family vacations to the Central Coast, especially Morro Bay where he could watch the birds and clouds drift by. He also enjoyed visiting the aquarium, a favorite past time of his. Gregory loved the Lord. He found joy in lifting his voice in heartfelt praise and saying "Hallelujah!" His love for music and dancing was infectious, whether it was a favorite hymn, a lively tune, or a spontaneous moment of rhythm, he moved with a freedom and happiness that lifted the hearts of those around him. Greg carried an innocence and sweetness that drew people in. His warm, infectious smile could brighten any day and his gentle daydreaming nature reminded everyone of the beauty in life's simple wonders. Gregory is survived by his mother, Nancy Doss, of Ammon, Idaho, his two sisters, Lauri Hayes and Shana Berrington, his aunt, Earlene Doss, nieces, Tori Hayes, Bethany Berrington, Kiera Berrington, Great Niece, Ella Hayes. Nephews, Brydon Hayes, Noah Berrington, and Joel Berrington, cousins, Julie Walter Healy and Chris Walter. Gregory was predeceased by his father, Gary E. Doss.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Autism Speaks in memory of Gregory S. Doss at autismspeaks.org

Julie Healy He was a sweet young man who loved to eat and loved affection from his mom and sisters and I'm glad I got to dote on him my last trip to morrow Bay with him. I'm now a CNA this late in my life at 61 can't believe it but I love people and Greg was a special guy who in my opinion was every bit a war hero as my Uncle Gary. Love you both and love to the doss family .Julie Walter Healy.
