Nancy Hartley Holcomb, aged 80, died peacefully, surrounded by her immediate family, on June 29, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona.

 

Nancy was born in 1941 in Darby, PA to Helen and Curtis Hartley. She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca (Jeni) and Sarah (Dennis) and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Gillian, Camille and Arleigh V.

 

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Dean Lyndon Holcomb. 

 

Nancy lived much of her life in upstate New York and spent the last fifteen years of her life in Tucson. She was a member of the East View Church of Christ.

 

Nancy was an accomplished cataloging librarian, retired from Cornell University. She loved to play the piano and played for many church services and events. She was an avid gardener, growing much of the family's daily food as well as herbs and flowers. She was well-educated and loved reading and the library. She loved animals, easily making friends with every creature of the Lord she met. She always tried to plan ahead.
