Tomas Ramos Zazueta of Tucson, Arizona passed away June 27, 2021, at the age of 75.
Tomas was born in Tucson on February 6, 1946 to father, Tomas C. Zazueta and, mother, Refugio A. Ramos. He attended Tucson High School. Married his childhood sweetheart, Dolores H. Barrios. Thereafter, enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.
Mr. Zazueta is survived by his “Number One” ex-wife, Dolores, and their two children, Elizabeth Terrazas and Maria Grzeskowiak. He also leaves behind grandchildren and, great grandchildren. Crystal, Whitney, Reyna, Camilo, Aminah, Diego, and Sylas. And, his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tomas served in the United States Marine Corp for many years, and the Vietnam War. He had an automotive mechanic education and, experience as an autobody man, which he used long after being a Marine.
The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. Semper Fi and a Coor’s Light!
Services will be held next Wednesday, July 28, 2021 2:00pm at St. Margaret’s Church with Father Martin giving mass.
The following day the cremated remains of our Father will be laid to rest at the Marana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery on July 29, 2021 at 8:00am. A Deacon from St. Margaret’s will be present to bless the event. And, the military honor guard will present ceremonial folding of the flag and presentation to family.
A reception will take place on July 29, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the American Legion Post 59 located at 750 N Grande Ave, Tucson, AZ 85745. It will be potluck and there will be no open bar. If you plan to bring a dish, please text to 520-270-0858 so we may assist in planning the menu accordingly.
